Darlington have confirmed that Ian Miller’s loan has been extended until January. The defender arrived at the club from Ipswich Town before the start of the current campaign on a one month loan however this has now been extended beyond Christmas.
Miller initially joined Darlington on loan in February 2007. The twenty-three year old started his career at non league side Bury Town before impressing in trials for Ipswich. Miller made his football league debut for Boston United in November 2006. The defender played twelve league games for Boston during his loan spell which ended in the middle of January 2007 when he was recalled.
Less than a month later Miller joined Darlington on loan again as manager Dave Penney looked to boost his options at the back. The Colchester born player made his debut for Darlington against his former side Boston United where he scored the opening goal of the game as Quakers went on to win 2-0.
Miller went on to turn in a number of good performances during an impressive loan spell and rejoined the club shortly before the start of the 2007/08 season. Since arriving back at the club Miller has been used as a substitute and scored during Darlington's 2-2 draw with Notts County at the weekend.
