SunderlandSunderland are reportedly interested in signing former Black Cats star Julio Arca from Middlesbrough. However the player insists he is happy to stay at Middlesbrough rather than rejoin his former club. Arca joined Middlesbrough around a year ago for £1.75million.

However reports claim Sunderland want him back and are ready to pay £5million for his services. Arca though has dismissed the news and says he is happy where he is.

“It is all rumours, I know as much as them,” said Arca. “No-one has contacted me, so from my point of view, it is all rumours. I will be delighted to stay here, but I cannot say what is going on because I do not know.”

Meanwhile Former Sunderland player Tobias Hysen has expressed his delight after securing a move to IFK Gothenburg from the North East. The Swedish midfielder spent just one season with The Black Cats after admitting to feeling pangs of homesickness. The player has joined IFK for an undisclosed fee and is relishing the opportunity to play for his home-town club.

“It feels truly fantastic.” Hysen told the club’s official website. “It’s wonderful to come home and play for IFK Gothenburg. It’s nice that everything is done and I can focus on playing.”
