MiddlesbroughMiddlesbrough player Fabio Rochemback has reportedly told the club he will not play for them again as he looks to seal a January transfer to Sporting. The midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club for sometime and has become frustrated at a lack of chances under manager Gareth Southgate.

Boro had been reluctant to agree to a loan switch for the former Barcelona man, but Rochemback has now indicated he is not prepared to play for the North East outfit according to his father. Now Juarez Rochemback believes his son will secure a move to Estadio Jose Alvalade before the close of the transfer window.

“Fabio has decided not to play for Boro any more,” Rochemback snr told O Jogo. “Fabio has told Middlesbrough his decision during a meeting. I believe that his future lies in Lisbon and I am convinced that the situation will be resolved in the next week.”
