Hartlepool UnitedHartlepool United secured another victory in Coca–Cola League Two much to the delight of manager Danny Wilson. He hailed his team's performance. Hartlepool United took an eighteenth minute lead in the game against Rochdale on Friday night – Darryl Duffy with the goal.

"The three points were the priority and I am absolutely delighted with those three points," Wilson beamed. "I am even more delighted than the ones we got away from home because we dug so deeply. I didn't think they looked like a team near the bottom is the league. In the first half maybe, but in the second half they didn't. It was a tough three points because they made it extremely difficult. Earlier on in the season we might have lost that match, lets be honest. With all the play we have had in some games, we sometimes lacked a little bit of concentration and lost a goal. But we didn't do that, we kept another clean sheet which was absolutely magnificent."

Hartlepool United have now recorded fifteen points from a possible fifteen. Wilson singled out the first half performance as being something very special. Wilson said: "I thought the football we played in the first half and the tempo we played at was exceptional. But you very rarely see that for the entire 90 minutes and the second half we saw the other side of our game. If I was playing against a team that had so much domination in the first half like we did, I would make damn sure they would not allow it to happen in the second. They got in our faces and planted that ball in the back of us and it was not easy. But we kept our shape and discipline and came away with a great win. I would take three points like that any day of the week. You can't utopia every time you play. At times you have to dig in to get the result and we did that."
