Posted on 7th December 2006

MiddlesbroughGeorge Boateng's appeal against the red card he received at Spurs on Tuesday has been upheld by an FA Disciplinary Panel this afternoon. The Dutch defender had been facing a four match ban, but is now available for Saturday's home match against Wigan. The news comes as a relief to Gareth Southgate, who is already without the suspended Lee Cattermole for the vital clash against the Latics.
